The functions of this subcommittee are to:

a) provide assistance and oversight to departments and programs that are undergoing five-year or other periodic reviews;

b) recommend to the Provost guidelines and procedures for the review process;

c) guide Department Chairs and program directors through the program review process, e.g. adhering to the review timetable;

d) act as a review board and provide feedback to Chairs and program directors who are responsible for the program review document;

e) approve the external reviewer and arrange the itinerary for his or her visit to campus, including the exit interview with the Chancellor, Provost, Academic Dean, and Department Chair/Program Director; and

f) critique the follow-up process by way of a written report to the Provost after the receipt of the external reviewer's report.
