Chelsie is in her first year as the Head Coach of the UVaWise Cheerleaders. Chelsie cheered for over 16 years, 4 of which were as a UVaWise Cheerleader (2002-2006). She works in the Office of Information Technology as an Administrative Systems Programmer. Chelsie is an alumnae sister of Theta Phi Alpha where she volunteers as a copy editor for the national publication The Compass. She also serves on the Theta Phi Alpha Board of Directors -- Gamma Xi Chapter. In her spare time she enjoying scrapbooking and photography. Chelsie is currently a second-year graduate student at East Tenneessee State University in Johnson City, Tenneessee. She studies Appalachian history, cultural, and religious tradition in the interdisciplinary program. He academic interests include Appalachian literature, African American literature, and romantic poetry.
