About UVa-Wise Cavalettes
The Cavalettes serve many purposes
- To help lead the crowd in designated cheers along with promoting school spirit during our dances
- To promote school spirit through group endeavor.

To promote school pride and loyalty.
Tryout Information
- Held during spring semester, usually in April or May, unless another try-out is needed during Fall Semester.
- Normal tryouts consist of a two day, nine hours total
- Materials include a dance, leaps, turns, and various other dancing techniques
Facts
- Dance at home football games. (away games vary)
- Dance at all home men's and women's basketball games.
- Participate in Homecoming activities. (Games, Parade, and Bonfire)
- Participate in several community service events.
- Must maintain a GPA of 2.0
