Summer College 2008 courses at Abingdon open to students at UVa-Wise and other institutions
The Abingdon campus of The University of Virginia’s College at Wise invites students throughout the region to enroll in the second session of Summer College 2008. Registration is now open and will conclude on July 8.
Summer College is open to currently enrolled students at UVa-Wise and its Abingdon campus and to students at schools, colleges and universities throughout Virginia and beyond. Whether returning home for the summer or willing to try out one of the top public liberal arts colleges in the nation, students from any institution can reap the benefits of a UVa-Wise education during Summer College 2008.
Summer College Session II begins July 7 and concludes Aug. 8. Open registration for Summer College 2008 will begin May 1, 2008. Explore the options and benefits of Summer College at www.uvawise.edu/summer or www.swcenter.edu/uvawise.
Located at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, the College’s Abingdon campus offers undergraduate degree programs in business administration and psychology, with cohort degree programs offered for accounting and management information systems.
In addition to its degree programs, the Abingdon campus offers a certificate in accounting, a library media endorsement and recertification courses for teachers. The courses are taught in a hybrid format in the late afternoon, evening, weekends, and/or online, offering convenient choices for working adults.
The Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center is located at Exit 14 off Interstate 81.
